Over the last year or two, I have started to notice the rise of artificial intelligence.

AI is not just playing a role in algorithms for self-driving cars, but also in creative work.

For me, as an artist, it is easy to get scared.

Will AI take over my job?

The short answer is no; it won't.

Instead of hating AI, I want to figure out how to use AI to my advantage.Where does AI fit into content creation?

How can we use AI to help us communicate our brand story?

1. How AI Can Help Start The Creation Process

The hardest part about creating is getting started.

You are staring at the blank page or empty canvas and thinking - what now?

AI can help jumpstart the process of creation for you.

Tools like Octie.AI from my friends over at Octane AI can help you write out personalized email flows or SMS content.

So if you are a small team, Octie can help you write more with less people.

You become the editor of work versus the first creator.

AI also has data on what works and what doesn't work, so not only can AI help you create, but AI can help you create content that actually CONVERTS!

Think about the copy that goes into script writing or text overlays for videos.

Octie or another tool like Copy.AI can help you write the copy for you.

2. Create At Scale With AI

I can tell you that creating a ton of variations of an angle or concept is hard.

Tools like Marpipe, Pencil, and Omneky allow you to spin up a lot of content at scale to test as opposed to manually making each variation.

AI can then send back data to you on what is working so you can go create new ad concepts that work.

AI can allow you to move faster on creative testing and optimization.

Ai can also come up with angles that you didn't think about to test which give you more options at scale.

3. AI Cannot Replace Art

Okay - now for the real talk.

AI can't replace art.

What do you need to do to feed all of those tools to work?

Photos and videos.

Taken by who?

Goodo Studios ;)

You still need to create photos and videos.

AI just extracts the value out of those photos and videos at a faster, more automated rate than a human.

AI can't replace shooting photos and videos.

But if everyone is using the same AI tools, how can you stand out?

Art.

Art is what has connected humans since the beginning of time.

Art is the expression of human existence.

So even though AI will help, you still need to create art for your brand because that is how you will stand out in any algorithm.

You need to find your unique voice in the sea of AI and trends.

You have to find a balance of these tools because if you only rely on AI, you won't be any different than others brands.

What makes your brand special has to come from a human.

Technology will make it easier to create, but the impetus must come from us - humans

I will be exploring how my team and I can use AI to help our process, but you will never see us give up shooting photos and videos, because this artform is irreplaceable.

Keep creating!
